I've spent over 30 years studying Natural Medicine - it's become a lifestyle, actually. I am a licensed massage therapist and for over 12 years I worked in the offices of Naturopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists and nutritionists. During this time, I also completed extensive studies on the physiological and psychological effects of meditation, aromatherapy, reflexology, and alternative medicine.
I've learned that what you think about effects your overall health and that what you put on your body affects not only your skin but your well-being.
In the early 90's, my father purchased a piece of land rich in peat, with the idea of adding it to his mixtures of organic soils. The family dogs kept eating the peat and their coats changed; they also became more limber and peppy. A world-renowned university in Guelph, Ontario tested the peat and found it high in unique nutrients. We knew we were on to something!
About ten years ago, my sister Wendy and I started making natural bars of soap in our kitchen. Everyone loved them. This led to experimenting with creams, lotions, masks, ointments and scrubs. But I felt there must be more to the story and so began my journey to France, Germany and Austria searching out the benefits of Moor or Peat for skin care, health and healing.
The skin is the largest organ of the body - protecting and nourishing our skin is something we all need to think about every day. Over 12 years of research has confirmed that the Moor Extract, Peat and natural ingredients in our formulas are of great benefit for the skin.
